Pitch black color, well carbonated, with generous but not persistent brown head. The aroma is not only roasted malt and coffee, but also caramel, fudge, wood. Full bodied, round; there is a good balance of flavors: roasted malt, dark chocolate, liquorice; it has a moderate and very pleasant sweetness; the treacle and maple syrup can be perceived in the end; warming alcohol feeling, never boozy.
Excellent, not tiring (extra point).
Sour carbonation, foamy, lasting head, coconut shells, some smoke, wood, yeasty, bitter on the tongue, warming, dark fruits, if you know, you also get the vanilla and maple. duerrto (32) - - MAY 20, 2013

courtesy of Toni Flükiger - pitch black beer under a solid and long lasting creamy beige head; roasted coffeish aroma with fair notes of vanilla, hints of maple sirup; full-bodied, creamy palate, some sweetness thick and with a fair bitterness; pretty dry finish with notes of nuts, roasted malts, chocolate and vanilla - yummy !
