Bottled, thanks Bov! Clear mahogany colur, lighly gushing lively head. Caramelly nose. Sweet with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Grass and caramel. Salty bitter finish. Solid, but lacking depth. fiulijn (20993) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 15, 2013
Dark mahogany color with compact head. Nice aroma of caramel with a touch of chestnut honey and firewood. Caramel flavor, nutty, quite bitter; not at all sweet as a real Barley Wine, but still a good, bold and balanced beer.duerrto (32) - - APR 28, 2013
Very good, elegant.
From Erzbierschof, 33cl bottle – Pours dark brown with a thick brown head. Quite citrusy, IPAish in the nose, very bitter yet roasty and toasty in the mouth. Stout character, very dry ending though. Some alcohol’s there aswell. rand (1710) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 23, 2013
Bottle 33 cl from erzbierschof.ch. Dark brown with a huge beige foam sticking to the glass. Aromas of caramel and hop, alcoholic notes, fruity, toast. The taste is roasted, fat, rather dry, hoppy and fruity, hints of wood and pharmacy. Long and dry finale, earthy and peppery hop, old cake Whiskey. Too hopped for a Barley Wine.

courtesy of Toni Flükiger - pours a dark brown beer under a little yet long lasting beige foam; solid hoppy aroma of red fruits, caramel; gently perfumy; creamy palate and full-bodied, some sweetness below but soon overwhelmed by a huge bitterness; very dry and long fruity hoppy finish with more notes of caramel and warming alcohol
