COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Clear pale golden color with white head. Aroma is strongly grainy, earthy, a bit dirty. Taste is sugar icing, very grainy, with a rough earthiness. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not great, it's too rough for me..

Störtebeker has a range of great brews - their Pils is not one of them. Pours golden with good white head, but that’s about it. Taste is lame, no bitterness, much more like some weak Lager. Just about drinkable.

10-02-18 // 500ml bottle. Clear golden. Crispy malts, some grains and a solid hop bitter finish. Easy classic pilsner.

Pours a clear, light golden coloration with a large, fizzy head. Smell is quite subdued and oddly sweet: honey, grains, slightly herbal, with the faintest hint of citrus. Taste follows the nose with a noticeable honey sweetness that seems quite uncharacteristic for a Pilsner and slight notes of citrus, grass and some biscuity malt. There's also a slight, lingering mineral presence and a pretty light bitterness. While I will admit to not being a fan of Pilsners in general, this seems like a pretty mediocre example of the style. It's oddly sweet, pretty bland and lacks character and bitterness.

Vom Fass im Brauhaus in der Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. Goldgelb klar, fester hoher Schaum. Dezenter Getreideduft. Antrunk Zitrone und Honig. Dann nette Bitternoten. Der Hopfen kommt erst im Finish. Solide.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2017 fin pilsner, pænt humlet, efterlader en passede tørhed i munden, så man får lyst til mere

On bottle. Pours clear white/yellow, with small head. Sweet-ish, not bad, quite smooth. No scent, small taste - it’s okay.

Nothing special here. Basic pilsner with not much personality. Light cereal flavors. Not much else.

The ship on the cover makes me expect a good northern pilsner of the grand tradition. It is a good pils, but for all the description that is implied, I was rather disappointed at the little amount of BAM! in this beer. Certainly a drinkable and acceptable beer but nothing to write home about.
