Smell the coffee, taste of dark chocolate in a thinner form than a classic Staut. Ideal to have as dessert beer.

50cl bottle from Bon Voyage, Berlin. Pours dark brown with a small light brown head. Roasty aroma with malt, coffee, chocolate and hints of caramel and hops. Medium body with fairly lively carbonation. This was my favourite from the tasting pack I tired some years ago, and I still find this one very nice. Rich and roasty flavorus with a balanced bitterness. Surprisingly refreshing and not as sweet as some schwarzbiers I have tried. Sessionable, and certainly a decent brew in my opinion. jolo (1152) - Uppsala, Sweden, SOUTH AFRICA - MAR 23, 2013
Bottle. A clear dark brown colour with a small light brown head. An aroma of roasted malt, coffe and liqourice. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter. A little thin body but all together a good schwarzbier villevav (509) - FINLAND - MAR 20, 2013
The aroma is well-balanced and roasty. Refreshing palate. I’d recommend this, although it is not as diverse nor refreshing as the best schwarzbiers.
