Jet black, tight tan head. Raw and waxy aroma, slightly smoky too, and a bit bready. Smooth palate, gentle carbonation. Rich burnt and roasty palate, well balanced; light on the hop front, but with rich coffee, a sweet light espresso. No hint of 7.5%. Some plums in there too. The late finish is coffee, and lasts a long time.
Bottle. Very malty, roasted, chocolate. Black body, brown huge creamy head. Moderate bitter start & finish. Creamy texture, light to medium body, flat carbonation.
Taste like a good stout! Bov (13456) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 2, 2006
"das Bier der Gerechten"; limited edition - pours a very dark brown colour with some ruby notes, the whole thing under a little, brown-tainted foam; nice lacing; the aroma is solidly toasted, rich with notes of ashes, black chocolate and some caramel in the background; sweet with a medium to full malt body; a touch of acidity gives it an interesting profile; long aftertaste of roasted malts and pralines with a touch of alcohol - ok, it may be expensive but this is a good beer
