750ml bottle. Poured a cloudy amberish color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of yeast, fruity, wood, grapes, and some earth. Tastes of grapes, dark fruits, vinous, yeast, and caramel. Lighter tart finish with the alcohol content hidden.
750ml bottle I picked up a few years back at the brewery during the night of my buddy’s wedding. Pours a murky, ruby amber with some thin, eggshell head. Nose has wood pulp, red grape, some vinegar, soured malt, some blood orange. Flavor follows along, mild vinegar, mild tart fruit, blood orange, unripened pear, cedar notes, a little cleaning fluid. Oily, tart finish. This seems to be either peaking or on the back end. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 19, 2014
This one poured a red color with a white head. Aroma was of dark cherries, red wine, light vinegar, caramel and oak. Flavor good balance between Belgian sweetness, vineous character and.mild tartness. Somewhat ptessive from these guys. tomthompson89 (1982) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 22, 2013

Draught cellared for a year at Blind Tiger NYC. Pours an interesting hazy reddish orange with little else. Aroma is strongly of caramel and lightly of sour funk, yeast, leather, and other vinous notes. Flavor is fairly sweet and sour, wood, light oxidation, and very light grainy bitterness. Feel is sticky and tannic. Really easy but comes and interesting. Great beer. bob_w (373) - new york, New York, USA - AUG 22, 2013
definitely a departure for stoudts. i’m glad that they’re trying some new styles. there’s definitely some sourness, funk and brett qualities going on here. a bit acetic and sharp. it’s really dominated by acetic sourness and alcohol, with other characteristics (like fruit) hard to uncover.

Champagne bottle into snifter. Poured a hazy yellow with frothy white head. Smells of sour fruit. Bitter palate with a smoother taste. Bitter fruit taste, like a tart nectarine. Very intricate beer. Would love to have again. boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 18, 2013
Draft at pinnochios. Pours hazy yellow with a nice sized head. The aroma has some nice vinegar notes, lemon, minimal quad qualities. The taste has a nice tartness up front that finished with a little bit of dark fruit notes. Very cool brew. Beerathon (1683) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 6, 2013
A very complex beer that hits you in waves. Upfront it’s a quad, then the cherry/grape/wine taste comes through, then the tartness of a sour, and finishes dry. Enjoyable. snoworsummer (5694) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 17, 2013
