From old tasting notes. Lovely orange amber color. Huge bubbly beige head. Tiny small bubbles. Light sour hop aroma with metallic overtones. Dry roasted malt flavor with a mild hop backdrop. Dry finish and aftertaste. PanMarek (462) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 21, 2017
Straw yellow pour with fairly quick white foam. Malty nose with touches of yeast and a little fruity hops. The taste is sweet and familiar. There is a little bitterness at the end. Medium body and active fizz. It is a little sharper than a conventional lager.

This is one of the best Lagers in America and can easily compete with the best European Lagers. It is a clean and simple beer that is easily quaffed and is quite refreshing. I believe the ratings for the beer are lower than they should be because Lagers normally have very little aroma and have only subtle flavors. Vestlake (279) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - AUG 7, 2015
Bottle pour. Straw color with a finger of head. Toasted malt taste. I really enjoyed this one. Will buy another six pack before I leave Atlanta. Travlr (25821) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 7, 2015

This is one of my favorites, especially from draught. Last time I tried was at Gingerman, NY. Really good helles. trapped (3484) - New York, TURKEY - FEB 17, 2015
Draught @ Ginger Ma. Bright and clear yellow with large off-white creamy head, honey aroma, high carbonation, delicious honey taste, abrupt finish. Very good Helles! yespr (47048) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - DEC 20, 2014
From tap. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grainy and light fruity. Toasted, flat malty and light bitter. Grassy and grainy. Toasted malty finish. hotstuff (5233) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 24, 2014
Rated on 12-22-2010. This beer pours a small frothy, fizzy mostly diminishing white head, hazy yellow body, fizzy carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is malty, yeasty, hoppy, sweet, and fruity. The taste is sweet, lightly biter, malty, yeasty, citrus hops, and fruity. This beer has a semi-harsh finish. The mouth feel is clean, lively and this beer is medium bodies. This is a session beer. The flavor is a bit of a turn-off for me as it taste somewhat harsh. matty (443) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 24, 2014
12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear but slightly hazy gold color with a thin white head that disappears rather quickly. Aroma of corn and a touch of hops. Thin bodied, balanced between malt and hops. Finishes the same as the taste. Makes me think of a pre-prohibition lager. Not awful, but certainly not the best.
