3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle best by 11/11/16 into a pilsner.
A: Poured clear gold with a short rapidly falling head and big bubbles. Patchy lace.
S: Dry grassy scent with winy green apple notes and maybe balsa wood.
T: Dry apple very quickly overtaken by bitter hops of a not quite fruity, not quite piney nature. Herbal or grassy I suppose. No resin. Fresh clean taste.
M: Prickly light body with a clean dry finish. Begs another sip. This is what I love most about kolsch.
O: Very good, in fact a new favorite of the style. The taste and feel of this are excellent IMO. Not cheap but an easy recommendation.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
bottle @ Jungle Jims / Cincinnati OH --- Aroma of wheat. Nearly clear light/medium amber, fluffy white head, lace cobwebs. Taste is understated wheat-y malt that gets a huge jolt of carbonation on the swallow, following it with mild hops and a hint of spice. Not much there,

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Fado. Mostly clear light blonde pour that started with a large foamy white head. Reduced to some thin, but plentiful, lace a lasting foamy ring. Feels like a Kolsch. Bright shiny lemony wheat beer flavors with a slight bit of yeastiness and enough hops to provide a slight bite in the finish to quench the thirst. Some pleasant light fruity notes including tangerine peel, asian pear, meyer lemon, green grapes and unripe bananas - balanced against traditional breadier flavors. Short bread biscuits with lemon curd. The hop bite finish increases the more you drink it - to positive effect. Last had this over two years ago in the bottle and it didn’t impress me much. The current draft of it that I am having does impress me. Was not expecting to like this as much as I did.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours clear straw yellow, quick head, some lace and retention. Aroma of hay. Taste is moderately sweet, just a tad of noble hop earthy bitterness. Light bodied, lively carbonation, smooth mouth feel. Finishes bittersweet with tasting notes of light barley, straw, grass, herbs and flowers. A very nice kolsch. Smooth and refreshing.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Transfer from BA review on 6-3-13-
Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance- The beer is served a light golden color with a one finger fizzy white head. The head has a decent level of retention fading to leave only a lighter level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma is light overall consisting mostly of a bready smell with a moderate showing of lemon and a bit of graininess. Along with these aromas are smells of grass and a bit of yeast.
Taste- The taste begins with a malty flavor mixed with a lemon taste. These flavors are relatively constant throughout the taste creating a base for the brew. More toward the middle and the end a little bit of a grassy flavor as well as some flavors of a light fruitiness come to the tongue. In the end a nice smooth and lightly hopped flavor is left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is thin and crisp with a carbonation level that is average to slightly above average. Both are fantastic for the style and make for a very easy drinking brew.
Overall- Refreshing and very easy drinking. It is a rather flavorful beer for the more light-summer like genera.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
It has a bright clear yellow color with a tall bright white head on top. The body has some streams of visible carbonation rising up to the head which is creamy and hangs on well. It also makes some cool slick lacing on the glass. The aroma has a light pale biscuity malt undertone with a nice grassy/floral hop character with a twist of lemon zest on top. Its flavor mirrors the aroma with light, mildly sweet malt balanced by mildly bitter grassy/floral hops. The palate is light with a soft yet still lively carbonated texture.
