Now this is a beer I can enjoy. It tastes like a real beer. Lots of bitterness and a great nose. Very nice. A real man’s beer! Admiral (524) - Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2002
Light yet extremely satisfying. Some bitter/floral hops, slightly malty with a vague breadiness; I bought it at the brewery, so it had to be fresh. This must be what Pilsner Urquell is like in Plzen; I have to think of Josef Svejk when I drink this. I agree with "Trappist Ales Rule," this is damn near perfection. This has GOT to be one of the cleanest, clearest tastiest American beers I’ve ever had! A very incredible take on an often under-appreciated style. Do not by any means confuse THIS with your ordinary lager, either European or American. This stuff is very well made. Crystal clear light golden in color with fine bubbly carbonation. Light hop and spicy malt aromas. Flavor is well balanced with sweetness but leaning a bit on the hoppy side, but very clean in the finish. Quite, quite drinkable and satisfying. Stoudt’s Pils pour to a beautiful, bright, light blonde color with a thick, creamy white head, and a lively carbonation. The nose on this beer is superb. Very fragrant, grassy/herby hop aromas flood the nose. This beer is hopped with Saaz hops in abundance, and the vibrant hop flavors and aroma dazzle. The palate is crisp and clean, with a wonderful flavor of lightly kilned pilsner malt. The body is smooth and round, making this beer very drinkable. This beer finishes with a very aggressive grassy hop bite that lingers on the tongue, letting you know you just had one fantastic beer.

This is one of the best Pilseners in America and holds its own against the best European Piseners. In my opinion this beer is based on the Stoudts Golden Lager but with more hops.

Aroma is yeast, bread and hops. The flavor is grains/bread, citrus hops and a complex, dry finish. A great pilsener. PhillyBeer2112 (2850) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - MAR 4, 2001

What a great beer. Very refreshing. Crisp. Clear yellow in color. White foamy head. Light malt aroma and a long lasting bitter hop finish. superspak (5603) - Michigan, USA - FEB 28, 2012
12 ounce bottle into pilsner glass, best by 8/16/2011. Pours hazy golden straw color with a nice 2 finger dense white head with fantastic retention that reduces to a thick cap that lasts. Nice soapy lacing on the glass, with plenty of carbonation streaming up. Aromas of big lemon, grass, orange, biscuit, floral, and herbal hops. Very nice aromas with good strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, grass, floral, pepper, bread, light tartness, and herbal hops. Fair amount of herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, pepper, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a while. Medium carbonation and body; with a slightly sticky and crisp mouthfeel. Very drinkable and smooth, with no alcohol in the taste or finish as expected at 5.4%. Overall this is a fantastic pilsner, and definitely one of the best I have had. Very drinkable, and full of nice hoppy flavors with good balance. This held up surprisingly well considering the bottle dating.
