Deep amber appearance with an average size head and very good lacing. Subtle, spicy, herbal hop aroma. Grainy malts back up the woodsy, dry, bitter hop flavors that seem more floral and herbal than citrus. Well carbonated, medium bodied mouthfeel with a lingering finish. Enjoyed in a bottle but think this would be great cask conditioned.

Very good selection from Stoudts. Nice malty flavor with some nice hop bitterness thrown in as well. Bang!

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a dark reddish copper with a large, creamy, off white head. The nose has papery hops and a solid biscuit and cracker background. The flavor leans a little to the malt side with bread and biscuit notes, but there is a little earthy and piney hoppiness. Reminds of an English pale ale. Lots of soft carbonation leading to a medium finish. Nice session brew.

Beautiful red hue. Nice white foamy head with good lacing. Hops are nice for a pale ale, actually feels a bit like an IPA. Solid offering from Stoudts.

Bottle. The first measure of any beer labeled "red" is to see whether it’s really red. Well, this is definitely red. Still. Clear. Big, white, poofy head of foam. Malty aroma. Caramel even. Drinks with a definite caramel malt creaminess. Rich with it. Malty. Brown sugar. Good. (#4612, 6/9/2012)

Pours a clear brownish reddish color with a tan head. Aroma of syrupy malt with a slightly citrus peppery note. Taste is syrupy sweet with notes of toasted nut. The balance leans a bit more to the malty than the hops but it is still well balanced and it favors the side I like. Good local beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of malt, toasting, hops, pine, and a hint of caramel. Poured deep amber in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, tan head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of hops, toasting, pine, malt, and Earth. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Slightly sweet, lightly bitter, malt, hop, slight caramel finish is lightly dry.

12oz bottle from Pinnochio’s. Pours a reddish amber color with a white head. Aroma is pine hops, bread, cereal. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, cereal, with a nice, clean, bitter hop finish. Pretty easy drinking.

Clear reddish with a dimpled off-white head. Aroma is sweet citrus, but mild. Nothing special in taste, even compared to their stock APA. Very drinkable, though. $2/12ozs
