This brew pours a clear pale reddish-amber color with a medium foamy light beige head that diminishes slowly. Partial sheets of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt and piney hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of resiny hops, caramel and malt. The finish is Moderately bitter with a floral hops aftertaste. Decent overall. Bottle at home, from Wegmans Downington, 04/12/13.
Dark amber with a good sized off white head that retains well.
Nose is caramel malt, straw, light tropicals, candied orange peel, hop presence.
Taste comprises caramel, biscuit malt, caramelised sugars, orange peel, trace of red grapefruit, candied sugars.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, grassy hop bitterness leading to a lightly sugar coated finale.
Ok stuff. Listigovers (1173) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 20, 2013
Beautiful ruby red brew, a bit of rye spiciness, crisp and with a bit more depth than your average red.

Bottle shared by Tmoney99 in Dec 2011. Pours a clear amber/copper color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus and earthy hops, caramel, toasted malts with moderate bitterness to the finish. Pretty average stuff. jimski (49) - - JAN 16, 2014
Stoudts Revel Red is a deep amber red ale. It has a distinctive hop aroma and creamy head that finishes dry with a hint of citrus hoppiness.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Norm’s, 4/12/12
Aroma: The nose is heavy malty, with toffee, caramel, bread, and some citrus hops too
Appearance: This one pours a clear amber-orange color with a small white head and spotty lace
Flavor: Tastes more balanced with sweet malts (caramel, bread) and some hop bitterness (citrus, floral)
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a slight stickiness, a bit of slickness, and a somewhat dry finish
This re-rate from the bottled version (vs. draft) isn’t going to change the score at all for me. I still found the flavor to be slightly better then the nose because of the increased hop presence, and I still found the beer to be fine, but unexceptional.

Location: Draft at Hop Devil, 12/3/11
Aroma: The nose has some earth, pine, caramel, floral notes, light booze
Appearance: This one pours a clear caramel-orange color, small head, light lace
Flavor: The taste here is decently balanced, with caramel, earth, and pine
Palate: The body is medium with a decent mouthfeel, but it came off a touch muddled
This beer was decent, but not a standout. I didn’t hate it, but I was certainly left wanting a little bit more from this one.

On the twelfth day of Christmas 2011. Pours clear reddish rown with a white fluffy head. Aroma is citrus, caramel and some florals. Taste is very light bitters with sweet finish. Tastes very unfinished. Light and airy. Overall this seems very incomplete, much more malty then other APAs.
