12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured cloudy, copper/reddish in color; beige small head. Aroma is mostly malts, caramel and some floral/grass notes. Taste is also sweet, malty, some grain notes, and some citrus notes... Drinkable and quite enjoyable; very decent beer. mkel07 (5949) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 20, 2014

Draft at Milk Boy. Slightly hazy orange copper pour that started with a good foamy white head. Pleasant medium-dark malts with just enough hops for balance. Tinged blood oranges. Nice juicy dark amber fruit. Black plums. Wattered raisins. Wood planks. Makes a pretty good session beer. Has been a bit of a go to. Jimsal27 (291) - New York, USA - AUG 9, 2014
Pleasant copper color, sweet floral nose. Creamy head with sweet malty and caramel notes. full bodied. Nice session beer. Hint of bitterness at finish. Good stuff.

pured into small tasting glass a red copper color with small head and little lace. Aroma was malt heavy but light, toasted malts and caramel and a bit of toffee. average CO2 and a fairly thin body. Taste was malty, caramel, a bit of hay. some bitterness but not huge. Not bad, enjoyable and a fairly good ESB.

Amber with light off white head. Toasted malt nose. Thinner palate, some hops and malt. Mild overall. Easy to drink. alexsdad06 (10378) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 10, 2014
12 oz bottle at home from backlog notes. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor had caramel malt, lightly roasted, lightly floral and fruity with some balancing earthy hop bitterness in the finish. Worth trying once. solidfunk (8941) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAY 27, 2014
Pretty good for style. Citrus in taste with barley edge. Pours dark amber with good head and lacing. Finishes with light bitterness, good barley presence all the way through. On tap at DC Summerfest. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - MAY 18, 2014
From BA review on 2-4-12 -
Served in a pint glass.
Appearance – Pours a reddish-copper color. The head is small and quick to fade giving very little lacing.
Smell – A bit of sweet malty breadiness and caramel is mixed with a very light floral hop aroma. The aroma is nothing too potent and quite subdued.
Taste – A somewhat biscuit maltiness first meets the tongue. There is a bit of sweetness; mainly caramel in character but mixed in with a bit of of grassy hoppiness. The hopiness increases to some degree with the loss of much of the sweetness. At the end there is a lingering more bitter malt mixed with hop flavor.
Mouthfeel – Light and rather crisp with an average carbonation level; both of which lend to it being very easy to drink, yet sorta simple and boring.
Overall – Its rather average in my opinion. I would have it if offered to me, but wouldn’t go out of my way to get it. MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - MAY 2, 2014
On tap at Jackpot in Gallery Place, Washington, DC.
Clear, dark amber-brown with a khaki head and very good lacing.
Aroma of caramel, bread, earthy spicy hops, mango, citrus and peach.
Taste of toffee, brown bread, citrus, earthiness, peach and light tropical fruit with a malty finish.
Full/medium body and medium/low carbonization with a smooth, rich mouthfeel.
This is much hoppier than I remember--with more hops and bitterness than a typical ESB. For that matter, it's maltier than a typical ESB too. Overall, it's a delicious, full flavor ale even if not perfectly true to style.
