Reddish-copper color - almost no head, very low carbonation - slight hoppy and bready aroma - flavor is like a very malty pale ale - pretty sweet, but almost no hops/bitterness - rather thin, leaving nothing much on the palate but a slight hop flavor, making you wonder why the hell you couldn't taste any hops before you swallowed - bland bu drinkable. I have not had many ESBs to compare, but this one impressed me with a good flavor, nice aroma, and lack of aftertaste.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2006 Deep amber with medium sized white head. Malty aroma with slightly acrid floral leanings. Light hop bite, tempered by a sweetish maltiness whoch rules throughout. (Brewed by Frederick Brewing) The palate is very malty and mildly fruity. Hops are present, but subdued. Although, I find this beer to be well made it could use a slightly higher dose of bittering hops.
