Nice colr & taste. I’ll definitely buy it again! jason (1834) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 31, 2006
UPDATED: MAR 17, 2008 Draft. Aroma is hoppy, almost smelling the bitterness. Very red look with thin head. Good flavor that is hoppy and well balanced with slight carbonation. Smooth and a good palate.
Update: Cask - Had this at WhichBrew where the brewers brought down a cask of this. Really nice hoppy aroma. The flavor was so soft and seemed to melt on your tongue with the hoppiness , which was light but flavorfull, performed spirals in the mouth. So freaking good. williamherbert (1544) - Syracuse, New York, USA - MAY 9, 2010
The look is a deep, deep red with a brownish hue. Nice and solid off-white head. Deep and dark. Terrific mahogany color. Looks stout, no pun intended.
Has a really good English bitter smell, with a sharp red/amber overlay. Some minorly bitter hops with a pale malt aroma.
The taste is of a really nice pale ale flavor with tangy English yeast. Nice English bitter flavor with top layer of bitter red malt. The yeast comes out more as it warms up.
Feels a bit bubbly and thick. Leaves a light film. It’s really delicious; bitter but sweet and bready. Excellent. leah2974 (453) - Georgia, USA - APR 3, 2012
Bottle from Hop City, Atlanta. Similar to a red ale. Overall balanced, amber appearance, good malts. obxdude10 (2324) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2001
Very smooth, mild medium body, a little bitter but it added a nice touch to the aftertaste, didn’t keep a good head, but a great beer

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2007 Original rating at the brewpub: Dark red. Delicately hoppy. Light on the palate. RE-RATE, from bottle: darker red than I expected (crimson even) with a nice sticky head. Caramel candy, almost chewy character, even appley and an orchard-based hoppiness. Very good. UnionMade (621) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 6, 2002
Very good. Smooth and creamy, with mild carbonation. A very authentic english bitter. The floral scent is outstanding. nearbeer (5424) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 29, 2007
UPDATED: JAN 27, 2009 12 oz. Clear copper-brown with a small creamy head that lasts well. Spicy caramel aroma. Spicy caramel front has nice bittering balance. Slight tart fruit and grain flavors add a nice depth. Dry cocoa on the balanced finish. Smooth palate is medium-bodied and watery. Great session ESB. zappafan99 (463) - ASCENSION ISLAND - JUL 12, 2008
Taste 7/8 bottle from 4/8. Looks: Body is copper with white foam. Aroma: Caramel, citrus, grain, lemon, mild yeasty cheese. Taste: Light to medium body. Nice blend of mild flavors. Finishes with a good mellow spice. Covers palate well. Doesn’t go over the top. Great session beer. djaquay (138) - Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 9, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 1, 2011 bottle, poured cold; dark red/orange w/tan head; light carbonation, smooth mouth feel; nicely bitter, some citrus; very little lace
