Caramel, bread, spicy. This one was delicious. Will definitely haver this one again.
This Belgian Abbey-Style Ale is very smooth wirh a great pallet. Make sure when you pour it in a glass that you leave the last inch of liquid in the bottle. The reason for this is so you can get all the full flavor from the un filtered sediment. When about an inch is left roll the bottle on it's side rhen swirl in the bottle and top your glass with all the great flavor many leave behind. Bule (2309) - California, USA - SEP 18, 2017

Cloudy, dark amber with quick white foam. Sweet nose with touches of pepper and coriander. Medium body. The taste balances the sweet and spice initially, but as it warms the malts become more pronounced as does the ABV. The finish is a little heavily sweet.

Finale : moyen et un peu sèche, légèrement amère d’alcool et de houblon floral avec un goût de levures épicées.

This was poured into a chalice.
The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow to orange color with a slim finger’s worth of white foaminess that dissipated within less than thirty seconds. No lacing.
The smell had a sweet to lightly spiced "iced apples" with a slight crisp citrus coming in underneath. Light spice of coriander opens up and rounds out the aroma.
The taste was mainly balanced between the sweet and the spice leaving a sweet fruity aftertaste leading into a wet sticky sweet fruity finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Alcohol seems to be well hidden adding a light carbonation gracing to allow a nice smooth sweet stickiness rolling over my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good Tripel. But I do wonder if Stoudt’s spelled that on purpose on the bottle, funny to me - don’t care enough either. Still, I would drink again. Sekemoto (20) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - APR 23, 2015

This, like every Stoudts that I tried, is a primo A-B+ rated beer. The aroma and flavor is yeasty, which I’m not the biggerst fan of. Otherwise I would have rated this a bit higher. Pours a faded orange/copper color with light carbonation and medium head. In addition to the yeast, the smell is fruit and a bit like perfume (maybe thats the cloves and/or spices?) Tastes slightly hoppy, a little bit on the sweeter side, traces of yeast, spices, malts. Has a nice kick and meant for sipping.
