hotstuff (5158) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 22, 2014
Rated on 9-26-2010 (Bottle) This beer has a medium sized frothy ivory head when poured. The body is hazy with an orange hue with a golden tint. The carbonation is slow rising and this beer has a good amount of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, chocolate, citrus, grassy hops, sweet, and spicy. The taste is mildly sweet, caramel malt, citrus hops, spicy, and has a short semi-dry finish. The palate is lively and this beer is medium bodied. This beer has a lingering hoppy aftertaste, not overly hoppy tasting and has a nice warming sensation. It is worth trying and a beer I would drink again.

Goodgrief (2028) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - APR 30, 2011
On tap at Blue Dog Pub, Lansdale, PA. Amber color, nice frothy head and good lacing. This is just as advertised, a hoppy amber ale with a lot of caramel and english like grainy malts. Hops were pine/resin and were there in good quantities. Some slight off flavors of buttery/diacetyl that wasn’t quite pleasant took a bunch a way from this.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a moderate brownish color with a white head with some pretty good staying power. The nose brings some light hopping as well as a bit of spice. Some caramel malt. The taste is caramel malt and bread overlaid with some light hop and spice notes. Feel is medium with good carbonation. Quite drinkable and a nice seasonal. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-28-2010

On tap at the Beechtree. Pours a clear ruby orange amber with a nice clean beige head. Sweet toast and malt on the nose. Crisp and malty with some sweet malt. Nice and sessionable, if not a little dull. Good spicyness and toast, with some spice bitterness on the finish.

Beautiful dark honey pour, tan head, a little lace, sticky palate, medium hoppiness (not too challenging, but nice). Good stuff!
