Pours with absolutely no head. Taste is sweeeet with hints of cheap red whine. I thought this was a terrible beer. Maybe I got a bad bottle, other people are talking about a head. I got none...

Dark brown, almost black, with a rich light brown - orange head. Sweet and a bit sour aroma. Flavours are sweet carame, modest liquorice and chocolate with a rather nice sour hints towards the finish. Medium carbonated, rather light-weighted. A subtle, sweet stout that impresses with its quiet complexity.

Dorqui (2201) - Brescia, ITALY - DEC 20, 2005
UPDATED: SEP 16, 2007 Bottled. Much dark mahogany color, nearly black one. Impenetrable and with a creamy capuchin head; much supporter and friable. Fresh and alcoholic scent with elevated perception of liqueur, scorched wood and coffee. Extraordinarily prickly and lively taste for a stout. Resolutely unusual one. Sour notes with licorice, bitter cacao and alcohol rmors. Elevated alcoholic perception. Slightly top heavy. Long and long-lasting end.

Bottled. Very strong and specific aroma, fruity (mainly red berries), dark malts, but not roasted at all. Very black color, dark brown head, fair lace. Very very sweet start, red berries, honey, molasses, medium body that even thin in the finish. Seems to me like fermentation didnt finish yet, too sweet.

(Bottled) Almost black color with a medium, brown, a bit lemonadey-foamy head and some lace. Very chocolatey, sweetish and quite roasted-malty aroma with some acidity. Initially much like Plevna Shemeikka. Very sweet, sugary-syrupy-chocolatey, acidic flavor. Medium-bodied, sugary and a bit thin palate with lemonadey, hard and foamy carbonation. In a way interesting, but way too sweet brew for me, and not very balanced.

Beer #28 (I think) at Croydon Draught Belgian Beer Festival. Not really my cup of tea. Very sweet indeed. Full, but sticky. Theres some malt and chocolate, but the sweetness is simply too overbearing. More fruity than roasty.

[email protected] Belgian Draught Beer Festival, Croydon, London. A bit thin and acidic for a stout. Some light roasty malt, but the acidity and lack of body mad it a little bit dissapointing.

Draught @ East Croydon, Belgian Beer Fest. Pitch black, served with a tasty looking, scummy dark brown head. This beer is testament to the fact that looks can be deceiving. Sweet as hell this beer is straight out of the messed up milk stout manual. Not fun at all.

Draught: Black with a short tan head. Medium berry aroma, with some caramel and plums there too. Berries, liquorice, caramalts and choc in the flavour. Medium-full bodied. Very nice belgian styled stout.
