Another stellar beer from this brewery. Pours toffee brown. Tan head that looks good and lasts for a bit. Lacing left behind. Smells slightly roasty, a bit bubble-gummy as well. Very sweet and metallic. What is with these guys and their metal tasting beers. Chalky. Not good. gunnfryd (15290) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 11, 2011
Bottle at De Bierkamer . Black colour witha beige head Aroma is sweet, malt, chocolate. Flavour is sweet, honey, malt, hop, coffee, sugar, yeast, chocolate. OK beer. Beer5000 (6736) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 28, 2011
330 ml bottle @ De Bierkamer. Almost pitch black body with a thin beige head. Aroma of sweet malt, candy sugar and honey. Flavor is sweet, but actually less sweeter than expected from aroma, slightly burnt, liquorices, fruity and some chocolate. Not much bitter, but absolutely acceptable. pours a pitch black pour, head is smooth, plentifull and dark brown. Looks really really good, actually.
this one served cold. Aroma is near nonexistant, faint roasted notes, and faint sweet maltish notes, slightly grassy.
flavor is sweet malty, metallic, in fact quite metallic, honey, caramel. disturbingly sweet flavor that is more like malts and caramel than roasted malts. Rune (13507) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 2, 2011
330ml bottle, take away service at De Bierkamer. Lots of dimples atop of an opaque, coal black body. Chocolate malts to the nose. Flavour of chocolate and honey. Way too sweet (shared with Finn at our hotel room in Aalst, 30.04.2011).

5 Clearly acidic sour aroma. Offputting in a stout.
4 Black, large frothy head.
4 Very winey grape and apple retronasals. Thin and sugary after that. Amazed this didn’t become a gusher after all these years.
2- Slightly watery and sugary, not a good combo. Crisp carbonation doesn’t save it. Finish is just like about half a dozen of my worst home-brews.
7 Surprisingly drinkable at this age. Not really fair to the brewer as it was 16 months past its BB. However, I only bought it recently and this is the only chance I’ve had. Should rerate, but after reading other reviews I don’t think that it would get much higher scores.
UPDATED: NOV 18, 2012 I would speak of table beer. His sweets ar much more than the bitters
Sweet (caramel) bit sour (i would say soy sauce)
A medium/light body.
Brown/dark, rocky head.

Bottle courtesy of Jacob on 06/28/2010. Dark black body with a medium frothy light brown head. Sweet chocolate, fruit and liquorice aroma. Sweet liquorice flavor with lots of dark fruit. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.

Bottle. [thanks Søren & Feldthaus]
Pours almost black with a big, staying, creamy, dark-beige head. Aroma has sweetness, some malts, lightly roasted and milky chocolate. Highish carbonation, fairly thin mouthfeel. Flavour is marred by a heavy metallic edge. There is a fair sweetness, but not much maltiness. Lightly roasted and dry in the finish. Just not a good stout.
