Molasses nose. Smells like it'll be a thick and syrupy barrel aged stout. Plum taste, very sweet. BLADT (700) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - MAY 18, 2014
Bottle pour. Dark brown with limited head. Nose is candied plums, molasses and port. Taste is raison bread, brown sugar, grape skin bitterness. Generally complex. And sweet. Oh, god, this is sweet. Lots of booze. Leini (2054) - SWEDEN - MAY 15, 2014
330ml bottle. Dark brown body with a low tan head. Chocolate, dried fruit, fudge, vanilla and alcohol. KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 14, 2014
Bottle in Bruges. Packed with flavour, caramel, malt, prunes, raisins, some bitterness, too, but firmly on the sweet side. Pleasant beer for sipping. Highly drinkable. Marstonlad (885) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 13, 2014
Bottle at Kaisla, Helsinki. Pours dark brown with a little white head. Aroma has ripe, dark fruitiness, raisin, sweet caramel maltiness and, uncharacteristically, also a solid presence of vanilla and oak. Taste is strong, sweet and quite intense. Sweet malty notes, raisin and vanilla carry the taste towards the long, very light bitter finish. Again, the intriguing element of vanilla appears; coupled with sweet, ripe fruitiness the impression is slightly sherryish. The palate is full-bodied and sticky with a fairly soft carbonation. An elegant, varied quad overall.

Deep brown, almost black with a beatutiful beige head. Aroma: dark fruits and alcohol. Taste: fruits in the beginning, caramel, toffee and coffee in the end. Sweet and delicious aftertaste. Very enjoyable. Brodies_Best (269) - Auckland Central, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 6, 2014
330 ml bottle pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma is subtle alcoholic and sweet. Slight dusty and malty, a bit raw. Taste is sweet of syrup then bitter caramel. Slight coffee aftertaste. minutemat (5494) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2014
330ml bottle from Les Crepes de Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours very dark brown with decent head. Rich, dark and strong tasting with soothing hints of chocolate and a swirling complexity that brings malts, raisins, brown sugar and a teasing sweetness. Exceedingly drinkable given it’s a belting 11%, with light touches of flavours that are in no way overpowering like some of its quadruple brethren. Lovely stuff. Bottle from Belgium, deep dark brown with a fast-settling tan head, too gassy, toffee and pear-drops aromas, dry-sweet and almost syrupy in texture, palate has burnt caramel, bitter hops and toffeeish malt. Tastes strong, but more like say 8% than 11%. Finish is burnt-bitter, alcoholic and a bit cloying-sweet. sverhulp (14) - - APR 27, 2014
Zwaar biertje, redelijk zoet, met opvallend veel koolzuur. Zoete geur. Diepte kon ik niet goed proeven wegens verkoudheid. (Met Suus in Louis Hartloper).
