Sampled on tap at PIB, pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, spices, brown sugar and dry notes. Flavour of brown sugar, Belgian spices and slight yeast. Quite complex, with a good dry, low sweetness quality. Very solid. TBone (17676) - Pori, FINLAND - JUN 28, 2011

Dark nut brown color, steady beige head. Dark caramel and light coffee. Medium-bodied. Caramelly, alcoholic, Oak, prunes. A bit rough and weak in palate. But kind of enjoyable.
Bottle. Dark brown with small beige head. Flavour is malt, sweet, dark fruits, caramel, hops, bitter and yeast. yngwie (17074) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 2, 2012
Bottle. It pours an almost clear body, dark ruby in color and with a dense, light beige head. Lots of sugar and dried fruits on the nose, some anise, and a touch of roasted malts. The flavor is dominated by dried fruits, with anise, white sugar, dark sugar and some bitterness. Medium to full body, pleasant carbonation. Lasting finish with dried fruits. Certainly a nice one, but not the typical quadrupel. 121102 brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Dark brown pour with a khaki head. Rather roasty nose for a quadruple. Some molasses, a bit of chocolate, and quite a bit of alcohol. There is a decent bit of spice and fruit, though. Tastes a bit boozy, but some good sugar and molasses sweetness. A fair amount of chocolate and roasted malt which give a light bitterness.
