Backlog. Bottel shared with JMD at HNB 11.05.13. Dark brown. Fantastically nice beige head. Aroma of hops and berries. First taste is of dark berries, then of refreshing hops. Aftertaste is of dark malt with hop bitterness that lingers on. Average carbonation. A suberb beer, and the best quadrupel I’ve tasted. beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - MAR 27, 2012
750 ml bottle. As an aside, I love the label, especially the moon. Pours a clear deep mahogany with a large tan head that remains substantial to the end of the glass and leaves a sudsy coating on the glass with each sip. Pleasant aroma of caramel and dates. The flavor is caramel, malt and dates. Fairly smooth and well-rounded on the palate. Overall, a very nice beer. rouhlas (3616) - GREECE - NOV 22, 2014

Bottle. Poured a clear ruddy brown color. The head was exuberant and tan with good retention. Dark fruits, clove, hay, alcohol, and a dash of brown sugar in the nose. Medium bodied and slightly sweet up front. Dry and earthy at the end with prickly carbonation and a warming alcohol effect. abemorsten (3613) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - APR 5, 2013
Deep clear mahogany orange body with a large tan colored head. Pungent sweet vanilla, dried light fruits and christmas spices on the nose. Smooth, full bodied and alcoholic. Pungent sweet and bitter with toasted notes and spicy roasted hints. Dry tongue. Even warms the throat.

At a tasting, many thanks MrHangover, almost no head, quite clear dark brown colour, aroma of dried cherries and apricots, caramel and light oxidised notes, fruity sour flavour with woody and sherry notes, a bit too light bodied. Quite old but still interesting.
