COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Straffe Hendrik Quadruple is a rich and intense dark Belgian ale. It is brewed with a subtle blend of specialty malts, which give the ale an extremely dark color and a chewy, malty complex character. The quadruple combines a clean dryness with a warm full bodied mouth feel and essences of fruit. Secondary fermentation in the bottle creates a living ale that can be aged and will have an evolution of taste profiles over time.

It is brewed by the last active brewery in the historical city of Bruges. The town archives first mention the brewery in 1546. Since 1856, the famous brewing family Maes-Vanneste has owned the brewery.

At Get real NY. The aroma is a nice combination of fruit and bread. The appearance is deeep brown, light tan head. The flavor is not as sweet as the aroma. Fruity and bready to be sure, but a taste of meetal as well. The finish was actually a little dry, and the booze is felt. Medium/thick in body. This beer is all over the map. Solid aroma, ok in taste, decent body, weird finish. Good overall.

Pours a deep umber dark mahogany color with a big frothy eggshell foam. On the nose there is a big dose of cola, caramel and a touch of boozy figs. The palate is rich chewy and full of balanced flavors that match the nose nicely. Solid quad !

Pours dark brown with only a thin wispy head, which doesnt seem right. Maybe a bad seal or it got shorted on the yeast? Fantastic caramel and plum aroma hits even before lifting the glass. Taste is similar with hints of roasted coffee. Feels a bit flat. Will definitely need to sample another bottle.

Flaske: Orange brun klar l med en stor skumkrone. Meget karbonering. Fin duft af malt og en smule frugt. Smagen er frisk grundet den store karbon ering men stadig en stor maltsdme. Udmrket l.

Very malty heavy aroma, quite sweet with a lot of fruit. The flavor follows with a nice warming and a peppery feel. Well balanced with a long lasting after taste.

Reddish-brown pour with a beige head. Boozy aromas of raisins, chocolate and sweet spice. Rich flavours of licorice, toffee, chocolate and sweet spice. Quite a throat warmer. Good, long roasty finish. Nice.
