UPDATED: DEC 27, 2016 Dark amber, clear, with a nice, fluffy head with good retention. Smells like caramel, dried fruit, prunes, figs, raisins, some brandy, roasted rye, yeast, all that Belgian goodness. The taste follows the same notes, with prunes and raspberries mixed with burnt sugar and alcohol. Surprisingly dry and light-bodied for a quad, and, together with a medium-high amount of carbonation, it goes down easy. Warm and bitter-sweet aftertaste. Brown body, bit grey and white head. Aroma raisins sweet chocolate and cola malt. Alcohol and port wine like flavours. Fruits and alcohol. ciocanelu (2957) - Timisoara, ROMANIA - APR 24, 2014
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Dark brown color when held towards the light. Large head with very good retention and lacing.
Sweet malt and brown sugar in the aroma. Also quite boozy.
After tasting I was surprised. It wasn’t as sweet as I expected, and I liked that. Also it didn’t feel like 11% ABV.
Medium body with light carbonation. Easy to drink in spite of the high ABV.
Overall a very nice quad, I enjoyed it more than some of the bigger names. Bart (2936) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 22, 2012

Pours quite dark, big tanned head. Smell of dark fruits, dried fruits, fruit peal, toast, malt and some esters. Heavy sweet, toasty at first, them dark fruits and plu,. some nuts and caramel. Very decent stuff, yet i feel it lacks some deep complexity
Bottle. Heavy bread, nutty and milk chocolate for the malt, moderate cooked orange for the hops, dough for the yeast, with raisin, dried cherry, wood, toffee, bourbon, with a hint of vinegar and a faint mix of baking spices. Head is small, frothy, light tan with thin slippery lacing and good legs, and is almost fully diminishing to a small ring. Color is clear burgandy. Flavor starts moderately to heavily sweet and finishes moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is medium to full, syrupy with a flat to soft carbonation, and finishes lightly alcoholic. Though hugely complex it’s a very malty and sweet Quadrupel, it’s just that the sweetness isn’t balanced by any acidity or enough bitterness. cards04 (2923) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 8, 2013
A great quad. Pours a dark deep brown. Aromas of rich dark fruit. Raisin and fig. Lots of vinous and fresh grape aromas. Nice sweet malty flavors. Dark fruit and grapes. Delicious. DCLawyer (2914) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - DEC 30, 2013

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2016 Tartós hab, sürü sör, melyről már a kiöntésekor érződik az extrém alkoholfok, ami az ízét is dominálja, édeskéssé teszi. Majdnem maximum, bár ebben kicsit benne van a hely varázsa is (a helyszínen, Brugge-ben, a sörfőzdében kóstolva). cbfobes (2891) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - SEP 5, 2011
Poured from bottle, pours a burnt amber with a red hue in the light and a thin head, the aroma is of candy sugar with dark fruit and plum, the flavor is of dark fruit on the front end with a little bit of alcohol burn in the finish, nothing out of this world but still enjoyable.
