Dark brownish red pour with large fluffy tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, dark fruit and alcohol. Taste of burnt sugar, caramel, fig and a definite alcohol warmth present. A little too boozy on the dry finish, good beer though. DenverLogan (1299) - North Bend, Washington, USA - AUG 1, 2013
Poured from a corked bottle in a Great Lakes tulip glass.
Big pop of cork...pours a dark brown with big amber head.
Aroma of dark malts, alcohol, and malt sweetness.
Moderate carbonation and mouthfeel.
Flavors of dark roasted malts, alcohol, caramel, molasses, dark chocolate, milk chocolate. Overall big and bold with a big alcohol strength coming through over the big malt body. After 10 minutes the alcohol resides a good amount. dwaggs2 (1298) - Jefferson City, Missouri, USA - NOV 12, 2011
Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a pillow tan head. Left a lot of floaters in the beer. Lots of lacing left behind as well. Aroma was dark fruit, figs and plums. Flavor was amazing. Fruits, apples, figs and molasses. Alcohol was a non factor. Long finish. Great, great beer. artemb (1292) - Chisinau, MOLDOVA - FEB 21, 2015

Taste is sweet with light to medium bitterness.
Rich aftertaste with a black currant, cocoa, dill seeds, ethers, hops, spicy liqueur, liquorice.
