Deep dark brown brew with a big creamy pale brown head on its top.
Intensive tart, dried fruity (raisins, plums) nose and aroma escorted by chocolate, hops and some alcohol in the background.
It finishes warming and tart with citrusses, peppery alcohol, dark chocolate and spices, which leaves a long tart aftertaste behind.
Easy drinkable, delicious one. mrkipling (51) - Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2012
Lovely dark colour. Rich, pungent, slightly sweet aroma. Tastes of treacle, demerara sugar and spiced fruit. Leaves a pleasant bitter-sweet aftertaste on the palate. Definitely one to sip slowly; could only drink one in a sitting, but would happily keep a few of these around for when the mood takes me. coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - APR 16, 2012
Bottle. Pours a deep mahogany with a dense light tan head that leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma and flavor are toffee, caramel, date, fig, cherry, and some earthy yeastiness. Fairly sweet, but finish is dryer. Flavors get more complex as it warms. Mouthfeel is thick and a bit chewy. Alcohol is there but very well integrated. paulvanpelt (627) - Reusel, NETHERLANDS - DEC 9, 2012

Brown bottle of 330 ml. ABV is 11%. Refermented in the bottle. Poured in a tulip glass.
Colour i very dark brown. Huge head of somrthing more than 3 fingers, with creamy texture, beige in colour and excellent retention.Quite a lace left behind.
Light caramel on the aroma, some roasted malts, fruits and alcohol.
Great taste, roasted malts and coffee, with a long slighty bitter finish. Alcohol so very well hidden.
A full body and average carbonation.
Overall a great quad.

On Tap at the Bekeerde Suster, Amsterdam. Clear dark red beer, big cream coloured head. The head tastes of fruity sherbet! Rich complex beer. Dr Pepper and creamy malt kick off. Mild licorice spice. Caramel. A little fruit salad sweets towards the finish. Minerals. Carbonated bite in the finish. A really tasty lip smacking beer, hides the 11.0% really well. Lovely!
dark brown, smooth beige head. Aroma is raisins dark fruits, mildsweet malts. Heavy. Flavor is dark malty, mild raisins, mild sweet malty, dark fruity.well balanced, mild but not faint. Great taste. FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2011
Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with a large foamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet sugar, cherry, plum and caramel. The flavor was sugar, ripe dark fruits, caramel and touches of wood, herbs, fig and nut. A bit boozy. The finish was long, sugary, fruity and had a lingering booziness. Fairly full bodied. Nice.
