This is my second time trying this. The first was on tap at the Yard House a few weeks ago. This rating is for the bottled version, acquired from Julio’s. Poured into a snifter. A very dark chestnut brown color with a huge frothy tan head. Settles to a thick pillowy lace. Deep earthy-fruit aromas and flavor. Dark candi sugar is nicely balanced by a dry earthy bitterness. Chewy and silky texture. Fantastic! RDBrewery (3) - Lede, BELGIUM - FEB 2, 2016 does not count
Strong beer... very dark. Taste of forest fruits, sticky in throath. Nice foam. One is fine, two is ok, but three would be to much ;-) Villyzzz (462) - Espoo, FINLAND - OCT 14, 2016
Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with big and foamy tan head. Aroma has yeast and malts. Taste is yeasty with some dried fruits and booze. Full-bodied and mouth warming. Really nice. SebBrews (217) - Bucharest, ROMANIA - JAN 20, 2017
Pours reddish dark brown with lasting, dense beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, dark fruits, raisins, toffee, molasses and hints of coffee. Taste is sweet with notes of caramel, dried plums, apple pie, oak and yeast. Nice alcoholic kick towards the end and very balanced. Creamy, full bodied, average carbonation. A great quad for cold winters. davidf93 (198) - Stellenbosch, SOUTH AFRICA - FEB 10, 2017
Pours into tulip glass, brownish colour with remaining head throughout. Sweet taste with alcohol well hidden .

Beautiful smell, very fruity, dried fruit with bread and also some banana. Nice soft foam. Intense flavours. Figs, coffee, hint of smoke, bread, apricots, spiciness, banana, cream, orange peel, calvados. Complex. Long finish. Echon (564) - Århus, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2017
Dark mahogany. Very powerful and rich, with ripe fruit, banana, yeasty spices and dark sugar. Starts sweet, and ends with a dry and lightly bitter finish with warming alcohol. Medium body, and foamy carbonation. Overall, a fantastic quadrupel. Intense, complex, very powerful and very tasty. kapusil (1558) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 9, 2017
0.33l bottle. Very dark ruby body with an enormous light brown head. Very complex brew. It has an intense tangerine character that I didn’t expect at all supported by notes of raisins, orange zest, pepper, caramel and floral hops. Sweet from the dark malts and heavy, but because of the fruity character it’s fresh too. It definitely deserves to be among the top 50 quads. drmet (1050) - GERMANY - JUN 13, 2017
-pours a hazy ruby-brown with a big,foamy,sand-coloured head
-black currant,bready,syrupy,faint coffee,plums,raisins
-medium to high carbonation
Goes right into a line of the great Belgian Quads. Not quite on the level of a Chimay Blue or Rochefort 10.
