On Tap at the Bekeerde Suster, Amsterdam. Clear dark red beer, big cream coloured head. The head tastes of fruity sherbet! Rich complex beer. Dr Pepper and creamy malt kick off. Mild licorice spice. Caramel. A little fruit salad sweets towards the finish. Minerals. Carbonated bite in the finish. A really tasty lip smacking beer, hides the 11.0% really well. Lovely!

Bottled sample at the 2nd Annual Top of the Hops Charlottesville, VA beer festival, 9/10/11. Pours a slightly hazy copper-brown color with a medium sized brown head. Decent head retention. Aroma of berries, cherries and brown sugar. The taste is big brown sugar notes, toffee, berries, bready notes and a spicy finish. Medium bodied. Nice. notalush (5878) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 29, 2011
11.2 ounce bottle - hazy purple - clingy, thick lace for something so strong - nose of plum, fig, treacle, vinous notes, doughy yeast - quite a creamy body for the strength - sweet treacle/pudding up front, followed by fairly complex notes of plum, raisin, chocolate - dries out a bit through the middle, bringing notes of spices and dried flowers - finish of fruit skins, spice and an almost barleywine-ish maltiness - nicely balanced and quite tasty.

Classic quad profile. Aromas and flavors of dark fruit, prune, caramelized stonefruit, banana, molasses, cola, spices and Belgium yeast. Smooth, medium-medium-plus body, with fine carbonation and a touch of bitterness in the relatively sweet/semi-dry finish.. Alcohol is very well integrated. Well balanced. Elegant, lingering nuances of cola, spice and Belgium yeast. Solid, though not my absolute favorite. Overall, I guess I prefer a little more concentration in my quad. This was elegant throughout, which I'm sure will make many people happy.

Pours a deep umber dark mahogany color with a big frothy eggshell foam. On the nose there is a big dose of cola, caramel and a touch of boozy figs. The palate is rich chewy and full of balanced flavors that match the nose nicely. Solid quad ! DavidWoodruff (625) - Windsor, California, USA - JAN 25, 2013
Pours dark brown with large gassy tan head. Aroma of a well liquored fruitcake. Taste is a three way battle between malt, dark fruit and alcohol. What make this beer so interesting is that this battle ends in a three-way tie.
Love it! tom10101 (6087) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 7, 2013
Bottle (750 ml). Thanks to Jean-François L. Dark brown with a medium fully lasting beige head and some lacing. Aroma of belgian yeast, malt/caramel and dark fruits. Taste is moderately sweet and yeasty with spices, malt/caramel and dark fruits. Medium carbonation that tickle the tongue. Alcohol is really well hidden. Very good Quadruple. Well balanced and very complex. I really liked this one! DuffMan (10436) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 13, 2013
Bottle. Lovely auburn colour with a low light brown head, no lace. Aroma is spicy and yeasty and sweet, leading into a palate filled with chewy sweet brown sugar, dried figs, dried apricots, sultanas, and hints of dark cherries and tea. Very complex, warming without being harsh. One of the most enjoyable quads I’ve had in a while.
