Classic quad profile. Aromas and flavors of dark fruit, prune, caramelized stonefruit, banana, molasses, cola, spices and Belgium yeast. Smooth, medium-medium-plus body, with fine carbonation and a touch of bitterness in the relatively sweet/semi-dry finish.. Alcohol is very well integrated. Well balanced. Elegant, lingering nuances of cola, spice and Belgium yeast. Solid, though not my absolute favorite. Overall, I guess I prefer a little more concentration in my quad. This was elegant throughout, which I'm sure will make many people happy.

Pours a deep umber dark mahogany color with a big frothy eggshell foam. On the nose there is a big dose of cola, caramel and a touch of boozy figs. The palate is rich chewy and full of balanced flavors that match the nose nicely. Solid quad ! DavidWoodruff (603) - Windsor, California, USA - JAN 25, 2013
Pours dark brown with large gassy tan head. Aroma of a well liquored fruitcake. Taste is a three way battle between malt, dark fruit and alcohol. What make this beer so interesting is that this battle ends in a three-way tie.
Love it! tom10101 (6039) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 7, 2013
Bottle (750 ml). Thanks to Jean-François L. Dark brown with a medium fully lasting beige head and some lacing. Aroma of belgian yeast, malt/caramel and dark fruits. Taste is moderately sweet and yeasty with spices, malt/caramel and dark fruits. Medium carbonation that tickle the tongue. Alcohol is really well hidden. Very good Quadruple. Well balanced and very complex. I really liked this one! DuffMan (10278) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 13, 2013
Bottle. Lovely auburn colour with a low light brown head, no lace. Aroma is spicy and yeasty and sweet, leading into a palate filled with chewy sweet brown sugar, dried figs, dried apricots, sultanas, and hints of dark cherries and tea. Very complex, warming without being harsh. One of the most enjoyable quads I’ve had in a while.

Subtle alcohol taste which brings a nice body to the beer. Then you can savour vanilla and caramel flavours and a little hint of a sweet and pleasant red fruit, perhaps raspberry. They used to call beer "liquid bread", well I’d like to call this beer "liquid "forêt noire" cake". A gourmet and unctuous beer. Magnificent. lembeek (143) - ITALY - MAR 24, 2013
Colore mogano, con schiuma compatta e persistente. Aroma di malti tostati, caramello, vaniglia, con note fruttate. Nel palato entra morbida, con sentori di malto, zucchero candito e frutta secca. Alcol mascherato. gam (3909) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAR 24, 2013

33 cl. bb Aug. 2016. Deep mahogany with a ring and smattering of bubbles. Aroma is chocolate toffee, dark grapes, dates, marshmallow and plum. Taste is cocoa, merlot, white pepper, clove, caramel, prunes and plum. Lightly toasted oak plus touches of cured tobacco and soy on the long finish. Medium-heavy body strikes a delicate balance and shows a gentle touch of abv warmth. Also has a higher level of carbonation than I like, but it seems likely the flare-ups in the mouth help to ease the richness of this brew more than they detract. dmac (6211) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - AUG 21, 2013
Poured a huge super tight foamy super light beige head over a super deep amber/brown body. Aroma is sweet, sugar, dark fruit, plums, prunes, raisins, dates, alcohol, dough, yeast, rotting banana, bubble gum, chocolate, bready. Flavor is solid, raisin, dates, chocolate, yeast, nutts, rotting bananas, bubble gum, slight slight alcohol. Palate was full, syrupy, and lighter carbonation. Great stuff.
