Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a deep reddish brown with haze. Small head lasted about 20 seconds. Serious aroma with powerful strong dark fruits, sweet candy sugars, thick molasses malts, spices, and belgian style yeasts. The taste was a blend of the aromas with the dark fruits, dark sweet candies, spices, Belgian yeasts and the malts all coming together. Not overly sweet or cloying. Thick, oily mouth is smooth and good. Finish is bold flavors. Very well done. MrTipple (4966) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2014
Aroma: intense caramel, sugar syrup, citrus fruits, spices. Appearance: hazy, dark brown, medium, frothy, beige head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: sweets intensify slowly, toffee, caramel, ripe, sweet fruits, lively carbonation. Overall: excellent Quadrupel, not too overpowering in terms of sweetness. Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. Centje (34) - Bruges, BELGIUM - FEB 6, 2015
Smells like dark fruits, sugar and alcohol. Tastes like figs, chocolate, brown sugar, dough. An excellent complex beer, which will be appreciated by lots of people. I will try to age it and re-compare.

Dark brown pour with a lazing beige head. Aroma and taste is medium sweet malty, dark chocolate, caramel, treacle, brown sugar, plethora of dark dried fruits, slight licorice, nice spices in there, very nice. kbudd19 (1019) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 25, 2015
750 ml corked bottle, best before October 2016. Apperance is muddy brown, witha thick layer of creamy head that is built to last. Aroma is nutmeg, rasins, brown sugar, and sweet bread. Taste is a light bitterness up front, followed by nutmeg, clove, caramel, and rasin, finishes with some malty biscuit sweetnees and a touch of bitterness. Velvety mouthfeel, lots of carbonation, very little hint of booze. Overall, this a nicely balanced and complex quad, a very nice sipper on a cold winter night.

Bottle. Opaque black color that turns into dark red with a light. Light brown head. Aroma has plums, caramel, ripe fruits, licorice and coffee. Taste is first a bit sweet with some sour aspects but turns into quite dry and somewhat bitter long aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, licorice, coffee, port, plums, ripe fruits. Quite intense and interesting one. josanguapo (1674) - SPAIN - APR 27, 2015

Opinion: Buena cerveza aunque tampoco excepcional. Se nota cierto sabor como a regaliz en ella. Shag (3001) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - MAY 15, 2015
Dark brown with beige head. Aroma contains caramel, toffee, dark fruit, and chocolate. Flavor is malty with some spices and boozy notes. Tons of nutiness. Overall a really good beer. chinchill (4993) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 12, 2015
On tap at the Yard House in Atlanta.
Deep, dark mahogany body with a good head.
Excellent flavor and aroma, but the aroma is too weak. (then again, the ale is too cold and this may improve with warming). Smooth body despite the high ABV. Medium-full. Rich, moderately complex flavor. Sweet but not cloying. Adequate dark fruit notes with suggestions of light spicing. Achel (485) - Ioannina, GREECE - JUN 22, 2015
A pale amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and alcohol - showing that it is strong. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, caramel, and sugar. Powerful body. Thanks yespr for sharing.
