UPDATED: MAR 12, 2017 A great one for sure... This is a beer I?d recommend to anyone not familiar with good drinks. Every positive aspects of the best Belgian beers are represented here. Strong abv, spicy aroma and a much pleasant aftertaste that last for long in mouth. Plus, a very classy, nice design. Perhaps a bit difficult to get used to it at first, this one is (strangely) not as smooth as the Quadrupel one, alcohol taste is much more present, but that?s part of its greatness. Far from the quadrupel one which is beyond awesome, but still perfect to go along with any good meal! APPROVED BY TAVERNY?S BLACK METAL CREW!

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2017 Spicy tripel. Banana, coriander, spices, lemon zest, hint of honey, subtle hint of cinnamon. Nice carbonisation. Heavy one.

Pours dark hazy amber with thick, lasting beige head. Nose is floral yeasty esters, malts, orange peel, biscuits and caramel. Taste is sweet caramel malts, coriander, orange and alcohol. Full bodied, average carbonation levels, creamy mouthfeel. Great tripel.

Tap at the brewery with samalito, commonshawn, rosskyle, and dubtully. Beautiful Straffe Hendrik glass. Golden copper color with an impressive and impactful amount of white head. Aroma is spicy with elements of Belgian yeast funk. Taste has sweet characteristics melding well with spicy notes of coriander and hops. Malty backbone serves the beer well giving it a well rounded mouthfeel and finish. An almost white wine quality is coming through. Overall one of the better renditions of this style I’ve tried. Commonshawn is ridiculously excited about this one.

Bottle from a supermarket in Bruges, thanks King_Alex_II! Clear amber color with big white head. Aroma is boiled cabbage, DMS, yeasty, estery. Taste is estery, peaches, more boiled cabbage. Oily finish. Bad bottle? Should not happen in Bruges.
