Draft at Max’s Belgian Beer Festival. Pours hazy gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like dry herbs, prunes, hops, and lavender. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like floral lavender, wheat, and sugary sweetness.

Tap at Max’s. Pours mostly clear amber with creamy white head. Aroma is bready and toasted malts, floral notes, pear, and light grassiness. Flavor is chewy bready malts forward with floral and grassy hop notes, light fruit esters, and light grapefruit; dry finish with a touch of bitterness. Medium body and carbonation.

Cloudy orange tripel with big and fluffy head. Aroma has fruity yeast and some resemblance with white wine, maybe some sourness? Taste has lots of yeast flavors. Fruits come behind the yeast, and strangely there is some plums too. There was some warming alcohol but gladly it didn’t taste like it. Very high carbonation and full body.

Nice aroma, medium bodied with a long finish. My problem is just that I want the aftertaste to go away immediately. Too sweet for me and way too much a taste of cheap alcohol. Reminds me more than anything of a poor perfume gone bad. There are hundreds of other Abbey’s I’d drink before ever trying this again

A golden blond Triple ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, pleasant perfumy malt with orange pulp, coriander, curacao, light grassy hops, very nice. In mouth, excellent caramel malt with candy sugar, good hops, bitter herbs, citrus pulp, coriander, alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle at the brewery.

Golden orange. Impressive white, foamy head and lacing. Sweet aroma of partly overripe fruits, with hints of spices and hops. More moderate taste, with a refreshing and lingering moderately bitter aftertaste. Very good drinkability.

Quintessential triple all the way around. Can definitely serve as a standard bearer for the style. Ever so slightly sweeter than I was expecting, but that is not a bad thing at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Golden brown with a thick creamy head that lasts well. Complex flavour with coriander and fruit underscored with an assertive bitterness. A very enjoyable beer.

33cl bottle at Lazy Louie. Clear amber with a medium white head. Medium body with light to moderate carbonation. Sweet with slightly bitter notes. Caramel, fruits, herbs and warmin alcohol. A decent Belgian brew.
