COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The bigger, badder brother to our flagship Monkeynaut IPA, this beer definitely shoots for the moon. A supernova of citrusy hop aroma and flavor up front and a sweet malty backbone make this an aggressive yet well-balanced beer. It finishes with a smooth, lingering hop bitterness. If you’ve ever wondered what an 800-lb. gorilla in a spacesuit drinks, well, the answer is Tang, of course ... but when he’s back on Earth and in the mood for a big beer, he reaches for this.

Draft at taproom. Pours golden with a white head. Has some lacing in the glass. Nice pine cone notes on the nose. Fairly gap forward on the tongue. Has some nice pine on the tongue. Finished clean. Hides it’s booze well. Nice!

Poured from a 22 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a dark golden brown with a medium sized white head. The aroma is full of citrus, honey and some biscuit style yeast. The taste is a great awesome hop punch. I really enjoyed this.

From a bottle. Pours almost clear copper with a fizzy bubbly beige head. Tastes like strong grapefruit, pine, caramel, bready malt, light nuttiness. Medium body and low/medium carbonation. Smells like caramel, grapefruit, pine, and nutty malt.

JHeath99 (1678) - Warner Robins, Georgia, USA - SEP 5, 2015
Bottle shared by sonnycheeba and snoworsummer. Pours a transparent amber with a nice layer of creamy head. Aroma of floral hops, some malty sweetness, and citrus. Taste is malty upfront with a nice bitterness.

3.9
Gachupines (1252) - USA - JUL 24, 2015
Amber color with a thin lacing of white head. Aroma is hoppy, and a little doughy on the nose. Flavor is strong, somewhat astringent hops up front. It manages to be fairly balanced at the end with caramel malt, but the aftertaste is more astringent bitterness. Notes of pine throughout. I enjoyed it, but it’s going to be a bit much if you don’t like this style of astringent IIPA.
