Of Beer.Clear amber color with ivory head; nice lacing. Rye bread, floral, dry pale malt aromas. medium body, average carbonation. Nice floral, pine hoppy flavors with rye, caramel maltage----good
Pint at The Market. I wasn’t expecting an ale of this calibur, but this was a most pleasant surprise. The rye is very stated in the aroma and flavor with clean, juicy grapefruit hints highlighting everything. Lots of citrus in the finish with a wholesome, satisfying rye spiciness. It’s full flavored for the style and still refreshing. Quite tasty! nearbeer (5419) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 24, 2013
On tap. Clear copper with a lasting topping of creamy bubbles. Aroma is rye toast, caramel and citrus. Tastes of toffee, citrus, toast and lightly peppery rye. Light-medium body is balanced with a crisp rye finish and has a fairly smooth carbonation. Suttree (6385) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 15, 2013
Reddish copper, decent head. Nice dry, woody aroma. Taste is bone dry, nice woody, hickory flavor. Dry finish. Not much malt, but I’m cool with that. DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 13, 2013
Draft at Brewhaus. Pours brown with an inch of white foam. Slight rye note on the nose. A little bit of rye on the tongue but it’s overpowered by the hop bitterness of the finish. It’s a solid enough Pale ale but the rye’s not adding much.

Bright white head, copper color. Clean rye smell. Carmel rye taste with sweet finish. Nice. BeerHawk (1810) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Growler. Poured amber with an off-white head. Malty aroma. The flavor found caramel, rye, and light hop background. Medium body with a rye hop aftertaste. horto008 (186) - Alabama, USA - MAY 2, 2013
BITTER, but that’s what I expected from a pale ale with rye. On draft at the tap room and I’m assuming this is the correct name for it (it’s the only Rye listed). It was moderately hopped but for once possibly ever it could have used a little sweetness to offset the punch. Great beer to try, not sure I’d put it on my list of favorites. coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - AUG 25, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2013 Draft in the tap room (8/25/12). Poured pale amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma was moderately hoppy (pine and citrus) with a nice maltiness and a touch of rye. Flavor was all of that, but it was ruined by a pronounced soapiness -- possibly a fermentation problem?
Rerating (3/30/13): draft at Slice. Aroma and flavor as before, but the soapiness is gone. Nicely balanced beer. Itzjerm (2866) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - AUG 22, 2012
Little to no aroma. Appearance is perfect with a lasting head. Taste has a nice rye flavor. an amazing amount of rye since rye is hard to pull off. Balance is not with hops but rye. Yeast comes out very clear. The best standard taste beer Straight to ale has. But an increase rye balance. Very impressive. Nice sweetness very good beer.
