Draft at new brewery. Dark reddish brown with nice beige head. Heady ale with quite a kick. Fruity notes on the aroma and flavor. Alcohol does dominate the finish. aracauna (3606) - Georgia, USA - JUN 16, 2016
Darker than expected. Nice honey sweetness along with the caramel and yeast funk. Really good quad. Cybercat (5835) - Georgia, USA - MAR 30, 2015
Pours clear mahogany with a fairly thick and rather fine-bubbled light tan head. Aroma has roast malt, caramel, nutty, and subtle cloves tones. Flavor delights and teases the palate with caramel, fruity, malty, nutty and cloves tones. Smooth texture has good viscosity and subtle fizz, leaving a fruity and spicy finish. One helluva good beer - too bad this is so limited. drfabulous (7946) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - FEB 16, 2015
22 ounce bottle thanks to James. Darkish pour. Light body. Raisin, dried fruit, port. Malty. Nice overall. Travlr (24841) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 22, 2014
Bottle. Deep maroon color, bright beige head. Aroma of prunes, plums, raisins. Taste has sweet port wine, dark winter fruit. Alcohol is warming but not overwhelming. Very tasty beer on a cold winter’s night. My 100th quad rating.

Draft at the brewery. Pours clear burgundy brown with a fizzy off white head. Tastes like roasted malt, sweet syrup, apple, raisin, booze. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like alcohol, light raisin, and burnt malt. Nero55 (936) - Wisconsin, USA - APR 15, 2014
Draft. Ruby/brown with a thin beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and some fruit esters (raisins). Medium/heavy body with syrupy sweetness upfront, some chocolate, fruit, and malt notes with a dry finish. Unusual for a Quad. nearbeer (5421) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 28, 2014
12 oz on tap. Uncloudy mahogany with a ruby tint and a lasting ring of cream. Mild nose of dark fruit and toffee with some dark toast. Tastes of dark toffee, red grapes, and occasional disconcerting hints of organ meat and charred popcorn. Medium body is a little too fizzy in the mouth but somehow still manages to become slightly sticky. The abv showed only a touch. suprchunk (2994) - Crestview, Florida, USA - OCT 14, 2013
Deep toffee colored pour. Brilliant. Small off-white head. Little bit of lacing. Aroma of malt and raisins. Sweet malty flavor with some hints of dark fruit and yeast. Slight bitterness. Pretty tasty.
