Can shared with Paul, Ryan and Frank at the Sheraton. Pours a blackish brown body with thin off white lace. Nose is strong bourbon, roast and bitter chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with similar notes on the palate; but a bit too hot. cmike61 (2) - Winston salem, North Carolina, USA - JAN 6, 2017 does not count
Really? Growler. Reviews in the 3.00+ range???? Barrel Aging not as pronounced as I would like though. But solid damn beer. Don’t understand why reviews are so low. DiarmaidBHK (6187) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 25, 2016
Bottle from taproom. Pours black with an inch of khaki head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Solid bourbon notes on the nose and tongue. Easy drinking. Hides it’s booze well. Definitely my fave of the Laila’s. magsinva (1493) - Virginia, USA - DEC 25, 2016
Bottle from STA Leeman Ferry - looks the part. Taste more bourbon barrels then the base beer, so the alcohol shows. Caramel, chocolate, vanilla, oak, and and dryness. rodenbach99 (4571) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 4, 2016

Comment: Dégustation Manseau 2016.
Portrait: Un liquide noire avec une mousse beige. Un nez de caramel et de mélasse. Une bouche un peu chaude avec des saveurs de mélasse et de chocolat. Pour amateur.
22oz bottle in a teku. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, light notes of dark chocolate/coffee, bourbon and oak and light vanilla, and dough. Flavor the same, bourbon blends well with the stout. Smooth texture. A pretty good beer. edgallow (4762) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 18, 2016

Soft-medium carbonation. Overall: Nice stuff. Heavy. Fat one. tom10101 (6343) - Quebec, CANADA - MAR 11, 2016
Bottle (22 oz) shared at tasting. Thanks to Matthew for this one! Pitch black with a small creamy beige head leaving a small bubbly ring of foam after a few minutes. Flavors of bourbon, tobacco, vanilla, roasted malts, boozy notes, soy sauce and fudge. Taste is moderately sweet, mildly acidic probably from the oak, a tiny bit salty and definitely has some alcohol heat though it’s not over the top. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Salty soy-sauce finish followed by a moderate alcohol heat. A middle of the pack Bourbon BA RIS for me, but at least it was somewhat different from most so it was really fun to try. Tasty. mathieuc (4000) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 8, 2016
Pours a good black with a brown head that leaves some lacing. Nose is of slightly oxidized alcohol, bourbon and chocolate. Taste is more fudgey bourbon and coffee. A slight spiciness that I don’t want to call chilies but it might be just that. Body is medium-full and carbonation moderate. A pretty good barrel-aged double stout but it isn’t like there arent’t a million others just like it out there!
