Keg at Na Šumavě in Prague Day 5 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 3/10/14. Clear reddy / amber coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is berry, jammy fruits, toast, nutty, sweet malts. Flavour is jam on toast, toffee, mineral, sweet and malt. Palate is smooth, semi-sweet, nice and rounded, moderate carbonation. Bit too sweet. CzechTex (163) - - SEP 24, 2016
33 cl bottle. Looks good in the glass, truly a semi-dark. A bit of lingering sweetness but not nearly as much as typical Czech dark beers. Pleasant enough, good for a change of pace but nothing to devoted to. A bit better than some other reviewers think.... efeesse (628) - Praha, CZECH REPUBLIC - AUG 12, 2017

Nice dark amber coloured, small off-white head, flowery hoppy nose. Light toasted caramelly malt aroma with notes of coffee and light alcohol touch in the moderate bitter finish. Very pleasant polotmave.
Tap @ Modrý Abbé.pivnizub (10907) - Bochum, GERMANY - AUG 8, 2008
8th beer in the blindtasting.
Pours a pretty, brownish amber with a nice, small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is lightly metallic, some weak caramel and a little wet dog. High carbonation, just a tad thin. Flavour is soft, very weak metal off-flavour, but otherwise well-balanced sweetness and hoppiness.
Draught (@ Modé Abbé, Klattau and Zlý Časy, Prag): Light amber coloured, firm, little off-white head; hops, pale malt and molecular traces of metal in the nose; light bodied, light to medium sweet-bitter flavour; bitterness and dark-malty sweetness in the finish. Good, not great Polotmavé pivo............. petexner (936) - CZECH REPUBLIC - APR 11, 2010
