On tap. Poured an amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of citrus, grains, and some caramel. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 1, 2015
Gold pour, white head. Pretty tame pale. More malt than needed, kinda has a stale hop flavor, biscuity malt, yeast. Its just ok. olio (10374) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 23, 2014
50 cl bottle.marcus (10346) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUL 1, 2013
Pours clear copper color with a large frothy head. Resinous and hoppy on the nose, orange peel and some mandarin with sweetish malt characteristics. Bitter malts and resinous hops on the flavor, mild caramel, orange, faint grapefruits, finishes to a lingering gooseberry crispness. Bitter and kind of oily palate. An okay APA but nothing special.
Bottle from Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours amber with a craggy beige head and a bready aroma. There is a medium-bodied pale malt flavor with a floral bitter finish. arminjewell (9687) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 2, 2015
Pour on tap, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of nice pine, grass, floral hops into a bit of orange and citrus peel, some slight spice into a hint of biscuit, mild on the malt. Taste was a nice mix of orange and grapefruit, lemon peel into some spice, floral hops into some slight biscuit, finishing fairly bitter, more dry. Excellent APA.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Malt and light grapefruit aroma. Malt flavor with pine and grapefruit. Medium bodied. Pine and grapefruit linger with malt. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 15, 2010
On cask, poured by the brewer. Hazy golden body with a frothy white head. Hoppy nose, a little citrusy, a little spicy, a bit toasty. Taste is citrus, hoppy and pretty great for a cask pale ale. Minimal carbonation. Good. Ernest (7723) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - FEB 7, 2016
Draft at Barney’s Beanery, LAX terminal 2.
Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (cookie, toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, apricot, resin), lightly yeasty (dough).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately to heavily bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Given how mild flavored the Beach House was, I am surprised by the striking bitterness in this one...in fact it’s too bitter for what little sweetness is left. More residual sugar would help make this balanced and lip-smacking, and less harsh. Rather plain aroma, ordinary west coast hop bouquet of grapefruit pith and a little resin. BlackHaddock (7416) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 26, 2016
One pint, nine oz bottle into a UK pint sleeve on 26th April 2016 in Laguna Niguel, cheers daughter for treating me to this. Orange hue to the clear amber body, beige head that tried to hang around. Hops all the way here with a semi-floral nose and a fairly bitter hop flavour. The malts do blend in nicely to balance the bitterness a little and the alcohol is just about noticeable within the brew. Liked it, pity about the ’hogwash’ on the label highlighting the breweries location and how lovely it is. kaser (6314) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2014
Dark pour from draft at fathers office. Spicy apricot taste. Smooth. I like this. Aroma is earthy grains
