Pours a deep copper with medium off white head. Grapefruit and pine dominate with a caramel malt backbone balance. Decent.

Herbal hops... Stale-ish or something? And orange-y citrus character. A little malt flavor, and tangerine in the finish. Bitter finish/aftertaste.

Amber pour. Aroma is earthy malts and floral hops. Flavor is fairly heavy with caramel malts. It needs to be brightened up with less malt or punchier hops. Not great, especially considering their tasty double IPA.

Absolutely love the color. Otherwise, pretty standard ipa. Decent hop presence, but nothing to write home about. I wish it was a little deeper and more complex.

UPDATED: MAY 24, 2016 Supporting the local community. Quite dark amber color with heavy pine scents which move right into the flavor. Not much variation beyond that. Too heavy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Have had a couple of bomber bottles of this now. This beer pours a crystal clear considering that it’s unfiltered. The color is a light amber to orange hued beverage. There is a small white head that dissipates in a minute or two to a light skim. There is some lacing down the sides. The aroma is of strong tropical fruit, most prominent to me is pineapple. I do NOT pick up any resin or spruce/pine notes. There is some light malt aroma but hops dominate. Mouth feel is a medium to medium heavy with appropriate carbonation for the style. Flavor is dominated by tropical fruit hops right up front that carry on through to me. Very little malt flavor. There is a mild lingering bitterness that’s a little "piney" but nothing over the top. Overall the beer is a nice drinkable American IPA but nothing that really sets it apart from other typical IPAs.

wheres the hops?? maybe THIS is the pale ale. Lots of malt in this ipa and it is balanced, but should call the east coast home. Bitter bite on the sipping which lets you know its got some hops in there, however, aromatics and finishing hops are lacking. bummer dude.
