On tap at Fathers Office. First from this brewery and it did not dissapoint. Pours a deep amber orange color with a white foam head. A solid aroma of citrus and pine with a generous amount of caramel. Sweet citrus taste with a resins hop hit and a solid malt backbone. Think 90 minute but with those fresh sticky west coast hops. Best beer of the Santa Monica trek.

Draft at Imbibe Wine. Nose is citrus, ivy, and pine. Hazy amber with a medium, lightly lacing beige head. Flavor is bitter, pine, with a small bit of caramel. An excellent hop forward IPA.

Bottle from Beermerchants. Pours almost clear dark golden/nutbrown with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of bitter marmelade, piney fresh hops. Bold bitterness initially, pretty well balanced with marmelade malts, good orange bitterness at the finish, very good imo.

Dark red pour with disapating white head. Aroma is citrus and juicy smelling. Really unusual tasting IPA. Really has a fruity but good taste to it. Definitely hoppy. Slighly bitter. I like it, different than most IPA

7.1%ABV. IPA. Tapped out a deep amber, almost brown. 18SRM Nose is floral with lavender, orchids, nutmeg and a little wee bit spicy! Mouthfeel is soapy. Dark malt flavors of toffee, caramel, again with a the spicy nutmeg, hint , very very subtle hint of cinnamon, cloves maybe with some nice broad nutty flavor notes of toasted cashews. There are some nice black bread and even pumpernickel flavors. Hops are resinous, pine and hyssop bitter for a long slow finish to a very very satisfying end. You need something fatty and salty to cut this....wagyu beef kushiyaki. Goes on Favorites List!

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark copper with a slight yellow/beige head. Aroma of toasted malt and fruity hop. Full bodied. Frothy carb. Flavor is pine/citrus/earth with a roast malt backdrop. This is a very nicely done ale.

Dark copper coloured body with a hint of a deep amber and orange glow with a two centimetre thick tan head. Aroma of alcohol, pine, resin, earth, caramel, malt and a decent amount of grapefruit. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy, herbal, piney and resinous hop flavours with a little woodsy and herbal notes more than the others near the end. Aftertaste shows a good blend of malt and hops, some alcohol and a very dry, herbal taste at the end, all with some caramel sweetness, but this is all about the hops. Overall,a good and rather earthy, floral and bitter IPA with a lot of caramel malt noticeable. Cool to try and a different take on the style, especially being in Southern California, I was surprised and happy to see a non-Southern California IPA! I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from City Liqour House in San Diego, California on 08-June-2013 for US$5.99 sampled at home in Washington on the other side of this great land on 07-October-2013.

Thanks for sharing Neil! Pineapple and grapefruit on the nose with some orange zest as well. Biscuity malts, but not heavy in anyway. Very drinkable with good piney bitterness. Almost like a hoppy red ale. Bitter finish. Tasty.
