(500ml bottle) Pours a hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of cheese, sweaty armpit, and butter. Flavor of grain, lemon, caramel, stale buttered popcorn, and earthiness.

Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma is not good. I get cheese and feet as well as a ton of butter. Smells a lot like Cheez-Its. The flavor is not better with a lot of buttery notes as well as some rotten cheese. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. Not good, but it may be a bad bottle since other reviews were better.

Blairgus (4615) - California, USA - NOV 18, 2013
18 Nov 2013, bottle. bright yellow, faintly hazy, lots of bubbles on side of glass. nose is sweet, overripe fruit, almost garbage dumpster sweetness, faintly tart notes. thin body and mildly fizzy. interesting mix of tart cherries and maybe overripe bananas or apples. interesting. nice tart finish.

brystmar (1314) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 18, 2013
Cloudy golden color, beady white lace retains well. Smells like bleu cheese & cheddar, both mildly molded. And not in a good way.

Taste is less intense, yet has a strong vinegar presence. Watermelon and cranberries. Mild-ish, decent taste. But man that smell is off.

MacBoost (1957) - Victor, New York, USA - NOV 9, 2013
When a San Diego bankruptcy attorney tells you that Strand is making the best Berliner Weisse in CA, you should believe him. This one is no exception.

Pours a clear gold color, like Budweiser. Aromas of Cheetos cheese puffs, some limburger and a whiff of whipped cream cheese. Intensely awesome. Taste is pure cheese, with some genital infection thrown in there for good measure. So fucking good. Very dry, very bacterial. Spot on carbonation. Finish just leaves you begging for another sip. So much cheesy goodness.
This beer is world class.

Thanks to Homer321 for sharing. Pours a hazy golden color. Aroma is a huge sharp cheese in your face, provolone, parmesan, mozzarella type as it warms. Flavor is tart up front, nice light fruity character, lightly citrusy, and a distinct cheese flavor as well. Way too much cheese character here. Very interesting tho.

Aroma of straight up cheese. Sharp cheese. Farmhouse cheddar. Slice this beer up and put it on a burger. Slightly hazy dark yellow. Minimal white head. Initially a slightly tart/sour with more cheese. Cheese beer. Yup. Cheese. Wow. More provolone as it warms. A touch of feta. Cheese. With a touch of cheese.

jgb9348 (6579) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - OCT 28, 2013
Slightly hazy blonde and peach coloured body with a thin, half centimetre tall white head and a good deal of bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of foul dirty diapers, sour grapes, vinegar, sweaty feet, lemons, wheat and a very pungent and not pleasant grassiness with the faintest bit of sweetness. Light-bodied; Sour cherry and raspberry flavour at first with a very nice, super light wheat flavour and hints of grapes, lemons, oak, tart melon and a good deal of yeast and grassy flavours. Aftertaste is complex, especially for the style with a fruitiness and dry herbal flavour that is quite nice, tucked with the more overt sour and fragrant wheat and light yeast taste. Overall, a nice berliner weisse with not a great smell, but a taste and complexity that rival some of the better options in the beautiful city of Berlin. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Bottle Craft in San Diego, California on 06-June-2013 for US$8.25 sampled at home in Washington on 28-October-2013 in celebration of running the USMC Marathon on 27-October-2013.
