Another fine imperial IPA. Flavorful but not overpowering at 8.5 ABV. Limited release is fun while it lasts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber and orange with a medium sized white head. Soft musk, citrus, a good amount of musk and bright citrus peels. Medium bodied, musk, bright citrus, honeyed herbal tones with cool citrus and alcohol. Long citrus, malt, bright citrus, slow finish full of cool grapefruit, citrus, malt and toast. Gorgeous. One of the better ones.

500 ml bottle poured a clear golden amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of bread, orange zest, dankness, pine and light earthiness. Sample at TK Pizza & Pasta. The beer pours a cloudy orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Benzai (15615) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 26, 2016
Sampled from bottle shared by BDomue. Hazy orange color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, loads of hops, lightly a hint of old hops but the sticky piney resinous hops dominate. Taste malts, hops, loads of resinous and piney, hop bitter and bitter finish. Medium to full body, medoum carbonation. Nice!

Poured into a pint glass. 3.75 A: Lightly hazed light orange color. Two fingers of pillowy beige head. Retention is good and a short ring of lacing is left. 3.5 S: Surprisingly spicy hoppiness. Followed by herbal and piney hops and peach and papaya fruitiness. Moderate caramel maltiness with biscuit and just a touch of bready yeastiness. 3.25 T: Tastes like it smells. Hops are - in decreasing strength - spicy, piney, herbal, citrusy. Again lots of peach fruitiness. A touch of vegetables. Caramel and biscuit malts. 3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lightly creamy and smooth. 3.25 D: Decent overall, but does have a touch of off-flavor and it pretty average otherwise. ★ 708 characters DavoleBomb, Jun 12, 2015

Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - OCT 24, 2015
Pours a clean caramel color with a floral aroma. Taste is intially full floral and bitter but then dissipates into a cities malt flavor. Overall a good beer for the style, full of flavor and not excessively bitter.

Idiosynkrasie (7533) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - SEP 28, 2015
500ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey-copper-ish amber colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Malty aroma, caramel, a touch of almond, resinous and citrusy hoppy overtones, hints of lemon, lemon zest, grapefruit, a fresh breeze of mint, even a touch of cedar. Taste is dry, citrusy hoppy, notes of lemon, a touch of grapefruit and mint, lime peel, discreet pale malty background. Relatively light body, hence very drinkable.

annunz123 (957) - Taunton, Massachusetts, USA - APR 26, 2015
Sweet, fruity aroma with caramel, citrus, and cherry. Flavor starts with sweet malt and finishes with fruit bitterness. With the heavy malt character this is almost more like an ESB or English style IPA, but in any case this is a really good beer.
