I’m guessing this is the same beer, or a tweaked version, of what the cap on my growler said is "Bel-Gin Dark." They might have just tweaked the name...whatever! I got a growler and waited a few weeks and opened it last night, and am reviewing the other half tonight.
Poured in a Konings Hoeven wide chalice.
Rich brown color with modest head and lace.
Aroma of brown sugar, gin, dark malts.
Modest carbonation and mouthfeel.
Flavors of caramel, amber malts, gin. Overall significantly rich and flavorful with enough malts to overcome the strength of the Juniper. At the brewery it was tasty, from the many ? week old growler last night, and again tonight finishing it...similar to a good Belgian strong dark biere. Ayieee!!
