Tap at Trinity. Pours clear dark amber with a medium, creamy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is dates, caramel and cookie malt with juniper notes. On tap at Strange poured a hazy reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of toffee, juniper, citrus, light pine and light herbal notes. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Slightly murky dark brown with a dissipating head. Aroma was earthy and complex, with a nose full of herbal hops, light gin, and dark roasty toffee. The flavor was clean and earthy with light juniper notes, earthy toffee, light herbal hoppiness, a doughy bready Belgian yeast strain, and a lingering alcohol ester with some herbal tones.
