3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewery. Poured a muddled copper-orange color with a moderate off-white head that faded to a ring and left some spotty lacing. Aroma of moderate spice, some fruit (orange), soft doughy yeast. Smooth, moderately fruity entry with some orange that transitions into a spicy yeastiness with moderate pepper that pair with a soft hop dryness that lingers into the finish. Moderate carbonation and decent dry bite. Overall, it seemed a little lacking in the dryness compared to the saffron, and a little less refined, but still a decent pick.
On tap at the brewery as "Farmhouse Belgian Saison." Pours a cloudy orange with frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, pure sugar, spice. Medium body, pure sugar, yeast, spice, dark fruit, light boozy finish, very good. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - NOV 5, 2014
Hazed gold, white head. Nice yeasty saison, crackery malts, light honey, peppery hints. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - OCT 26, 2013
Golden yellow straw like color hazy with a thin head. Light straw like flavors and aroma yeast was light with a metallic flavors and light Belgian yeast finish. ajnepple (6709) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 30, 2013
On tap at Fire on the Mountain. Copper and clear with minimal head and lacing. Pretty fruity and sweet for a saison, light licorice, spices and herbs. It was alright. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - OCT 18, 2012
If I had to vote a beer off of the Strange taster tray, this would be the one. Belgian notes for sure but it is not sitting well on the palate. I think it is too viscous and could use more bubbles.

Draught at Marriott in Denver. Not totally a farmhouse or saison. Orange body. Some sweetness and fruit. No way dry. Not that great. tomciccateri (1034) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - OCT 13, 2012

Draught as part of a flight, at the Strange tap room, on October 6, 2012That1Guy (2237) - Colorado, USA - SEP 16, 2012
Hazy amber color, white head. Phenolic, yeast, clove, light acidic, peppery taste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness. Light acidic, phenoles, some alcohol scent.
Part of a flight at the brewery. Pours a dark amber with no head at all. Very yeasty, Belgian nose for sure, with a hint of spices. Very earthy flavor dominated by cloves more than anything. Medium-bodied and easy to drink. arkurzynski (2446) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 12, 2012
Draft at source. Deep amber, bordering brown hues. Nice Belgian yeast ester character, floral fruit, pear, peach, and spice. Flavor is estery pear and peach with mild spice and wheat. Maybe a little sweet but does dry out in the finish a bit. Lingering tart fruitiness. Nice.
