Pint at the brewery. I am still shocked to see Strange’s beers rated so low on this site. A score of 53? Are you guys drinking the same IPA? The aroma is rich with emphasis on Simcoe. A dank, garlicky nose is on this with a little bit of pine and grapefruit. The palate is solid for the style, just enough heft to remind me I’m having an IPA. The hops come through cleanly in the flavor too with a firm bitterness throughout and dank herbal qualities highlighted by pine, a touch of citrus and garlic. This brew is in the same vein as Great Divide’s Titan and could pass as a serviceable replacement which, incidentally, is scored 98 on this site. Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice IPA flavor and finish. A very good beer. jtclockwork (17631) - , New Jersey, USA - OCT 10, 2013
Draft. Pours clear orange with white head. Nose and taste of grapefruit, hops, malt and resin. Medium body. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 17, 2012
On tap at Strange. Darker orange, almost amber. Very dull smelling like a hint of malt but just boring. The flavor was just as lackluster, I wondered if it was supposed to be English style. The best way I could think to describe this beer is a shitty version of Full Sail IPA which is sort of a blah IPA in its own right.

My palate prefers their pales to the IPA but this is solid nonetheless. Hop bite is medium and the aroma is in that range too

Clear copper color, off-white head. Malty, hoppy, floral taste. Hoppy aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Fruity, hoppy scent.
Part of a flight at the brewery. Bright, clear orange pour with a fizzy head that is a bit sticky. Aroma of grassy hops, light malt, and lightly metallic. Pretty earthy, hoppy flavor with a metallic sting in the finish. A bit oxidized but still drinkable. Steve_0 (3818) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 19, 2012
On Tap at the brewery. Golden orange with a small off-white head and decent lacing. Citrus, fruity esters, banana, and light grapefruit in the aroma. Taste is sweet fruits, banana, spice, citrus, and biscuit ending lightly bitter. Light body with medium carbonation. Meh. BlackForestCO (1288) - Aurora, Colorado, USA - APR 7, 2012
On tap at they brewery. Poured a clear copper color with a moderate off-white head that slowly faded to a thin layer and left some thick rings of lacing. Aroma of much of the same dank hoppiness present in the ipa, leafy, piny, and citrus fruit. Smooth, sweet entry with a soft fruity sweetness leads into a moderately bitter hoppiness with a nice leafiness along with a more refrained pine flavor that lingers into the finish. Low carbonation and moderate mouth feel that is complimented by the dry hoppiness. Overall, a little more bitter, less perfumy version of the pale ale. That’s good in my book.
