3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at they brewery. Poured a clear copper color with a moderate off-white head that slowly faded to a thin layer and left some thick rings of lacing. Aroma of much of the same dank hoppiness present in the ipa, leafy, piny, and citrus fruit. Smooth, sweet entry with a soft fruity sweetness leads into a moderately bitter hoppiness with a nice leafiness along with a more refrained pine flavor that lingers into the finish. Low carbonation and moderate mouth feel that is complimented by the dry hoppiness. Overall, a little more bitter, less perfumy version of the pale ale. That’s good in my book.
Sample, mooched from Cubs and Leighton. Dark bronze, with a small, khaki head. Lots of resin, rye, and chalk. Sweet and sticky, with a sharp, dank bitterness. Medium to heavy body, sticky, and syrupy. This is solid, dank, and pretty good. Leighton (22773) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 20, 2017
