Geez, well, you really can taste and smell the macadamia nuts in this, so much so that they kind of wash out the more pleasant, dry, crisp and lightly earthy flavors of the base beer - the nuts add a kind of soil-like, almost dirty character, and of course, a nuttiness which is totally out of place and awkward in this style - not feeling it. On tap at Strange poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of straw, fruittiness, macadamia nuts and light yeast. Palate was lighht bodied and smooth with a dry finbish. Flavors of straw, earthiness, macadamias and light fruittiness with a smooth dry lingering macadamia finish.
