Taster at Strange. Very sweet aroma. Lots of Vanilla. Slight rum hints on the back end but not very balanced. Slight bitter malts but the sweetness pours right through. Too sweet. It’s alright but not something to go out of your way to seek out. onceblind (9664) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 19, 2012
Clear black with a thin foamy light tan head. Sweet aroma of chocolate, candy sugar, and vanilla candy. Flavor is medium-big, with clean notes of vanilla rum, light chocolate, very light oak, roasty dark malts, and some candy sugar. It’s not terribly sweet but I’m not getting much bitterness. Very light tones of coffee on the finish as well. Lighter bodied than I like, but flavorful and clean. And dessert-like. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 8, 2011
Tap @ brewery. Dark brown apperance. Sweet, vanilla, chocolate, maple-syrup like nose. Sweet dark chocolate and vanilla flavor with a slight rum flavor and a nice bitterness. Quite tasty. Ratman197 (14838) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 6, 2010
On tap at Strange Brewing poured a clear dark brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of rum, vanilla, dark chocolate and burnt carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of vanilla, rum, burnt carmel and dark chocolate with a smooth dry lingering burnt carmel finish.
