Smells faintly like caramel. Pours red without much head but some lacing. Carbonation isn’t super high for a ten dollar pitcher on College and Bathhurst Street. Aftertaste is a little sour and that’s it. Not great.

Draft at ronnies local. Red brown body with a small white head. Nice fruity aroma that’s a bit sour. The taste is sour and cloudy.

Smooth! Toasted malty notes ever present and wonderful. Flavorful beyond its ABV. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask days 2012, called quagmire lager. Odd sour malt aroma, wet grass, wet hay. Low bitterness, semi sweet malts. Odd funky flavor, really detracts from the subtle tasty malts. Sour cooked vegetables, and cut grass.

gilvanblight (825) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 2, 2012
Draft at the Blackshire Pub in London. Not too much scent. Very pale light yellow pour with very little head. Dry and hoppy. Very understated and very drinkable. I wonder if all California Commons taste like this, if so I think I may have a new favoured style. There’s nothing strong or flavourful here but it just works. I could see drinking this one all night. To bad it’s lunch.

whitecap (289) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 7, 2011
On tap. pours rather light amber small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, some hops. Flavour is minor amounts of caramel, some hops with some grassy flavours. Okay....

barncatmatt (2355) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 17, 2011
on tap at the black shire. shimmering gold with an off white head. nose of american hops, well structured biscut malt aroma. flavour is approachable and lean more towards the hops then the malt body. tight bitter finish. nice one.

Ontbeertaster (3208) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 6, 2011
Tap, pours a golden colour, it is pretty basic stuff, it has a nice maltyness and it is pretty easy drinking, overall decent

JRock72 (597) - - JUN 5, 2011
On tap. Dark golden yellow with little head. Hint of grass and hay in the aroma. Grass comes through more in the taste. Very nice.

JoeMcPhee (10129) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 14, 2011
Light amber pour with a white head. The aroma is fairly nice with a little bit of light estery fruit. Soft lightly toasted malt. Fairly soft minerally bitterness. Light sweetness but in general it’s pretty decent. Tasty and quaffable.
