ManVsBeer (10946) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2017
Cask @ Cuthbert Brodrick, Leeds. Deep amber with a glow and a thick creamy head. Has some mild ginger spice in both its aroma and taste and is fairly smooth.

amhart88 (136) - Manchester, Lancashire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2017
A Christmas beer, available in late February. Deep amber colour. Hints of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, but not overpowering. A malty lingering bite, with a suggestion of lebkuchen biscuits

Towey1989 (3258) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2017
Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) A clear brown colour with a frothy beige head. Aroma of gingerbread, caramel, clove, some orange peel, slight cinnamon and subtle lebkuchen biscuits. Taste of orange, gingerbread, caramel, slight cinnamon, clove and subtle biscuit. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A soft, spicy, biscuity bitterness in the finish. A full on spicy and malty bitter with a hint of hops. Enjoyed this more than I thought I would.

47574xeCD (1262) - Coventry, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2017
Cask at The Metropolitan Bar. Clear light brown thin white head. Faint nose of toffee malts. Taste is malt cereal caramel. Bland.

3.3
The_Osprey (9120) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2017
Cask handpull at The Railway Putney as ’Strathaven Winter Glow’, 5.0% Whilst reading Filth by Irvine Welsh - to follow the Scottish theme. Pours a dark amber, no haze at all, translucent and still with a compact tan head which leaves full lacing. Aroma is airy, bready malt. Body is smooth, rounded and full, light carbonation. Taste is rounded malts, resin and varnished wood, some tangy stingy floral hop bitterness, some ’Stop n Grow’ herbal astringency builds. A hoppy old school bitter. Full flavoured. Personally I didn’t pick up any spice additions, though I wouldn’t be surprised if there was something contributing to the drying astringent finish alongside the hops.
